Hyeonjin Cathy. Kim
Hi, I’m Cathy (김현진). I am currently working as a research scientist at Emocog and previously served as a research professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Boramae Medical Center. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Seoul National University (2024), where I was trained in computational psychiatry at the CCS Lab. I also completed clinical training in psychiatry at Boramae Medical Center, gaining experience bridging research and clinical practice.
My research focuses on understanding psychiatric symptoms through computational and quantitative approaches. In particular, I am interested in using computational models and behavioral paradigms to decompose aberrant decision-making processes in mental disorders into more precise and testable components. Ultimately, I aim to clarify the neural mechanisms underlying these processes and to identify more precise targets for intervention.
